About the Project

BE:COLLECTIVE is a luxury wellness retreat and corporate wellness platform built from the ground up on WordPress and WooCommerce. The project demanded a complete custom build capable of handling international retreat bookings for two premium destinations, serving two distinct audiences, and delivering a seamless premium experience from first visit to confirmed reservation. With 20+ fully custom pages, 4 custom-built plugins, five distinct KIT email automation sequences, and deep integrations across payment, booking, email, and analytics platforms, this is one of the most technically complex and feature-rich builds completed at StageNexa. The entire platform had to feel as premium and thoughtful as the retreats themselves, from the first scroll to the booking confirmation email.

About the Client

Joanna Rajendran is a keynote speaker, mindset mentor, and 2X bestselling author known for her work in energy, resilience, and high performance. Jen Rubinetti is a nervous system regulation specialist and certified life coach. Together they co-founded BE:COLLECTIVE, a platform designed for high-performing women and leadership teams ready to regulate, recharge, and rise through immersive retreat experiences in Costa Rica and Italy, alongside a corporate wellness offering for organizations and leadership teams worldwide.

The Challenge

Joanna and Jen came with a clear vision but a technically demanding brief. The platform needed to handle retreat bookings for two distinct international locations, Costa Rica and Italy, present two separate service tracks for individual retreats and corporate wellness programs, and communicate the premium and transformative nature of the BE:COLLECTIVE brand from the very first scroll. The standard WooCommerce booking flow felt transactional and completely misaligned with the brand experience they were building. The email marketing system needed to be sophisticated enough to nurture different types of leads through different automated sequences. And every single element of the site, from the add-to-cart experience to the booking confirmation email, had to feel as premium and intentional as the retreats themselves. Nothing off the shelf was going to work here.

The Solution

We built a fully custom WordPress and WooCommerce platform where every standard element was reimagined for the BE:COLLECTIVE brand. Order became Reservation throughout the entire booking flow. We developed 4 custom plugins to handle specific functionalities including custom add-to-cart behavior on the Costa Rica and Italy retreat pages. The KIT email marketing system was configured with five distinct email sequences covering the lead magnet, contact form responses, retreat bookings for both Costa Rica and Italy, and an abandoned cart recovery sequence. Calendly was integrated for discovery call booking. Custom professional email addresses were set up and connected to Gmail for a seamless and branded communication experience. An Instagram feed was embedded to keep the site social and fresh. Every page, from the individual retreat pages to the corporate wellness section, was strategically designed to guide the right visitor toward the right next step without confusion or friction.

BE:COLLECTIVE launched with a complete, professional platform that handles the full booking journey from first impression to confirmed retreat reservation. The automated KIT email sequences nurture leads around the clock without requiring manual follow-up from Joanna or Jen. The corporate wellness section provides a clear, dedicated path for organizational clients, separating them naturally from individual retreat visitors. The platform is fast, secure, GDPR-compliant, and fully indexed by Google with Search Console, Analytics, and Tag Manager all configured and running. The five email automation sequences work continuously in the background to convert leads into retreat guests and retreat guests into repeat clients.
