BrainMentor – German Neuroscience Knowledge Platform & Blog

About the Project

BrainMentor is a German-language neuroscience and learning knowledge platform built for Markus Eistert, designed to establish him as a serious intellectual authority in brain science, learning, and thinking. This was not a typical speaker website or marketing page. The brief was clear from the beginning: build something that feels like a credible knowledge hub, clean, editorial, and trustworthy, not like a coaching or sales website. We designed a custom logo from scratch and built the entire platform on WordPress with a full blog architecture, KIT newsletter integration, and a popup system, all optimized for speed, SEO, and GDPR compliance. Every design and content decision was guided by one goal: when someone visits brainmentor.de, they should immediately feel they have found a serious and credible thinker about the brain and how people learn.

About the Client

Markus Eistert is a German entrepreneur, keynote speaker, and brain science translator with over 30 years of entrepreneurial experience. His keynote Geistig fit in die Kiste won the International Speaker Excellence Award in 2026 and he holds memberships in the British Neuroscience Association, the Federation of European Neuroscience Societies, and the BVMW. He was featured in the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung and is recognized as one of Germany's leading voices on effective learning and brain-friendly thinking in the workplace. BrainMentor was created as a dedicated platform separate from his keynote speaker website, focused purely on sharing neuroscience knowledge, learning insights, and weekly brain tips with a growing German-speaking audience through articles, a curated science library, and his newsletter called the Brainmentor Hirn-Happen.

The Challenge

The biggest challenge of this project was not technical but strategic. BrainMentor needed to feel completely different from a speaker website, a coaching blog, or a marketing platform. It had to communicate intellectual authority and scientific credibility from the very first scroll, while remaining accessible, readable, and human to a non-specialist audience. The design had to avoid anything that looked salesy, startup-like, or guru-ish. The content architecture needed to support a growing blog with multiple categories, a newsletter system capable of scaling, and future expansion into podcasts, courses, and media sections, all without cluttering the clean and focused user experience at launch.

The Solution

We designed a custom logo that reflects the BrainMentor identity and built a one-page WordPress platform with nine structured sections covering the hero, mission and manifest, a mini introduction to Markus, a full authority section with membership badges and award recognition, a three-column topics section covering Gehirn, Lernen, and Unternehmen, an articles section showing the three most recent blog posts, the Brainmentor Hirn-Happen newsletter section, a curated science and studies library, and a contact section. A complete blog system was built with custom archive and single post templates, three initial articles published across the three categories, and smooth navigation between the blog and the main onepager. The KIT newsletter was integrated with a popup triggered by both time delay and scroll depth, designed to grow the subscriber base from day one. The entire platform was built on a white and off-white base with dark blue accents and subtle gold details, giving it the clean, editorial, and intellectual feel the brief demanded. Speed optimization, Yoast SEO with German structured data for Markus Eistert as a Person entity, and full GDPR compliance with cookie management were all implemented throughout.

Results

BrainMentor launched as a clean, credible, and professionally designed knowledge platform that immediately communicates Markus Eistert's authority in neuroscience and learning. The editorial design, the structured content sections, and the custom blog architecture give the platform the feel of a serious knowledge resource rather than a personal blog or marketing site. The KIT newsletter popup and the Brainmentor Hirn-Happen integration provide a clear and immediate path for visitors to become subscribers and stay connected with Markus's content over time. The hidden sections for Podcast, Media, and Courses mean the platform is already architected for future growth and can be expanded without any structural rebuild. The GDPR compliance, speed optimization, and German SEO setup ensure the platform performs well for a German-speaking audience and meets all legal requirements for operation in the DACH region.
